Instructors teaching courses via
the WSU Videoconference System are encouraged to travel to and teach from all
sites where their students are location at least once a semester after week
one. This gives both instructor
and students an opportunity to meet, to get to know each
other better, and to explore instructional issues in greater depth.
Research suggests that these visits to all locations significantly
improve student satisfaction with the instructor and the course.
Travel expenses are covered in
most cases by the instructor’s department, but Academic Media Services makes
the travel arrangements and coordinates the change in location with WSU
Videoconference Network Operations.
