Academic Courses via AMS Videoconference System
Academic Media Services schedules the statewide
videoconference facilities for academic courses and events.
To simplify this process, two online forms available on this website.
Academic coordinators or others responsible for scheduling
videoconference facilities for academic courses should use the AMS online
Course Request Form.
This form guides the scheduler through a series of questions.
The information provided helps AMS schedule the videoconference network,
facilities and support staff for the academic course.
AMS also arranges with the bookstore to stock copies of the textbook in
all of the locations. Finally, AMS
schedules final examinations that fit within the schedules at the sites where
students will be located.

Non-course events via AMS Videoconference System
Videoconference
events other than academic courses, such as meetings, interviews, and thesis
defenses, are scheduled using a second online form, the
Videoconference Request Form.
This form guides the scheduler through a series of questions
that help us schedule the videoconference network, facilities and support staff
for the event.
Videostreaming Services
Academic Media Services collaborates with Integrated Media,
its sister unit within Educational and Public Media, to schedule videostreaming
services. These services deliver
video to users via the internet. Event
coordinators can schedule videostreaming of university-related events (other
than academic courses) using the AMS online form,
Videostreaming Request Form.
AMS arranges to capture the video, then stream a live video of
the event and/or archive a video file for streaming after the event.
AMS works with Integrated Media to set up the following
technical arrangements: capturing a video of the event, providing the video via
streaming as the event is taking place, if requested, and/or providing a
videorecording of the event after it has taken place.
AMS and Integrated Media also provide technical support and also staff a
help telephone to support users.
Users can access videostreamed events, live and archived, at
http://experience.wsu.edu.
There, they will also find more information about technical requirements
for videostreaming, as well as answers to many common questions.
